Get the Adoption Process Started.
Adopting a dog of any breed is a huge commitment – and one that shouldn't be taken lightly.
By now you should have a good understanding of what it means to live with a Greyhound, and the level of commitment needed to provide us with the love and care we require and deserve.
If you've decided to adopt, the process starts with you filling out and mailing in the adoption application form, along with a $50 non-refundable deposit.
A GiNA representative will then contact you for a home visit. They'll bring one of their own dogs to your home to evaluate the reactions of your family and current pets. This visit and interaction helps GiNA decide the type of personality of dog that best fits your lifestyle and family. It also gives GiNA an opportunity to go into more detail about the special needs of a Greyhound and to answer any outstanding questions you may have.
GiNA charges an adoption fee of $450 for our dogs. After the $50 deposit (sent with the adoption form), the remaining $400 is due when you receive your Greyhound. GiNA incurs considerable cost in securing, fostering and caring for all their dogs and this adoption fee helps cover many of these costs.
